DALE'S
VISION

25+ Years of Executive Leadership. One Vision: A Leader in Every Nurse

“From the eyes of my
19 year-old self to the leader I am today, every step in this journey has been guided by one belief: there is a leader within every nurse.
With over 25 years in nursing leadership, I’ve learned that vision is not a destination—it’s a commitment.
A commitment to grow, to uplift others, and to lead with purpose. One vision, many voices—united in transforming care, together.”

Enhancing Workforce Well-Being & Safety
Nursing faces significant challenges related to workforce well-being and safety, particularly due to nationwide shortages and outdated federal regulations. To tackle these issues, Dale advocates for policy changes that enhance protections for healthcare workers and address the Nursing Faculty Shortage by developing Academic-Practice Partnerships. Unifying leadership voices is essential for creating a sustainable nursing workforce.

Fostering Engagement
& Belonging
Dale has actively promoted engagement and belonging at Stanford Health Care by co-chairing the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Alignment Committee and sponsoring various nursing affinity groups. His initiatives have increased the representation of marginalized nurses in leadership roles. His efforts in advancing diversity and inclusion were recognized with the ACNL inaugural
DEIB award.

Advocacy for Improved Health Outcomes
At Stanford Health Care, Dale co-chairs the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Alignment Committee, which has led to the recruitment of a Chief Community Engagement and Health Equity Officer. His work on health equity has been presented at national conferences and published in academic journals. Additionally, he led a task force to ensure safety during the pandemic, demonstrating his commitment to improving health outcomes through advocacy.
